What Binhop keeps
Binhop stores what you put into it so it can show it on your devices and to your team: your items, stock levels, prices, sales, purchases and their history, and your workspaces and who belongs to them.
If you save your account, we keep your email address and how you sign in (email code, Apple or Google). Your name and profile photo are optional and visible to the people in your workspaces.
Payments
Subscriptions are sold by the App Store or Google Play. They handle your payment details; we never see them. We receive the subscription itself (which plan, which workspace, until when) to unlock Binhop Pro.
Usage and crashes
The apps send anonymous usage events, such as “item created” or “barcode scanned”, and crash reports through Firebase. They contain counts and app details, never your item names, barcodes, email or other personal data.
The website and the web app do the same through Google Analytics for Firebase, only if you allow it: until then nothing is loaded and no cookie is set. Allowed, it counts the pages visited and the same kind of events, with addresses cleaned of any record or invite, and sets analytics cookies (_ga). Google signals and ad personalisation are off.
Notifications and summary emails
If you allow notifications, the app keeps a token for your phone so it can tell you when an item runs low and send you the weekly and monthly summaries. The summaries also come by email to owners and admins of a workspace with a saved email address. To send them at 8:00 your time and in your language, we keep your time zone and the app's language. You can turn each kind off in Profile › Notifications, or with the link at the end of every summary email. Phone tokens are deleted when you sign out or delete your account.
The assistant
The app has an assistant that explains how Binhop works, answers questions about your stock and can prepare small changes for you to confirm. Its answers are written by Claude, an AI service from Anthropic. When you ask something, your question, the conversation so far and the stock details needed to answer (such as item names and quantities) are sent to Anthropic for that purpose. Anthropic does not use them to train its models. The assistant is only used after you allow it, the first time you open it.
We also save the questions you type, what came of each one (an answer, or a change it offered) and your thumbs up or down, to learn what the app fails to explain. Don't type anything private there. Your questions are deleted with your account, and you can ask us to delete them sooner.
The website has the same assistant for questions about the product, for people who don't have an account. It asks before the first question too. Those questions also go to Anthropic and are saved, without a name or an account: only with a scrambled form of your internet address, used to limit how many questions one visitor can ask in a day. Before the first question, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person and not a program; Cloudflare receives your internet address and browser details to do that.
Who processes it
Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and files. Resend sends sign-in codes and summary emails. Google Firebase collects the usage events and crash reports (on the website, only if you allow it), and delivers notifications to your phone. Anthropic writes the assistant's answers. Cloudflare checks that visitors asking the website's assistant are people. Apple and Google process subscriptions. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can change your name and photo, leave a workspace, or delete your account at any time from your profile in the app. Deleting your account removes your profile and the workspaces you own, with everything in them.
