Codes
One code per line. Spaces and dashes are ignored, and a code typed without its last digit gets it.
Type or paste a code to check it.
Catch typos before they cost you
One wrong digit in an IMEI or a barcode means a phone you can't find or a product that won't scan. The last digit is a check: the tool tells you when it doesn't add up.
Complete codes in one go
Paste codes without their last digit, like 12-digit EAN-13s or 14-digit IMEIs, and get each one complete, ready to copy or print as labels.
Knows what a code is
It tells an IMEI from an EAN-13, UPC-A, EAN-8 or GTIN-14, and points out in-store codes, books (ISBN) and coupons. Spaces and dashes are ignored.
With your own items in Binhop
In Binhop every phone can be tracked by its IMEI: scan them in one after another when stock arrives, pick the one you sell, and see the whole life of each unit. Signed in, this tool also shows which of your items a code belongs to.

Questions
How is an IMEI checked?
An IMEI has 15 digits, and the last one is a check digit worked out from the other 14 with the Luhn formula. If one digit was typed wrong, the check almost always fails. This tool checks the digits only: it can't tell whether a phone is reported lost or blocked.
How is the check digit of an EAN-13 calculated?
Starting from the right of the first 12 digits, multiply the digits alternately by 3 and 1 and add them up. The check digit is what you add to reach the next multiple of 10. UPC-A, EAN-8 and GTIN-14 work the same way.
What if a barcode starts with 2?
EAN-13 codes starting with 2, and UPC-A codes starting with 2 or 4, are set aside for use inside a business, such as weighed products or a shop's own labels. They're valid, but they aren't registered product numbers.
What is the 16-digit number on my phone?
That's the IMEISV: the first 14 digits of the IMEI followed by a 2-digit software version. It has no check digit. The IMEI is the 15-digit number, shown with *#06# on most phones.
