Dead stock
Stock that hasn't sold for a long time and probably won't at its normal price.
Dead stock is goods that stopped moving: last season's models, things bought in too large a quantity, products past their best. It costs money every month it stays, in space, in cash that could buy what does sell, and often in value it loses.
The cure is to find it early: list what hasn't sold in 90 or 180 days and act, with a discount, a bundle, a return to the supplier or a write-off. Binhop's reports show the items that aren't moving and what that stock is worth.
